The Madison Club is hiring a Youth Activities Attendant. We are looking for an individual who is upbeat, enthusiastic with an outgoing personality. The Youth Activities attendant will plan activities for children, which may include physical games or sports, arts and crafts and other recreational pursuits.

The Madison Club is open during the winter & spring season, and this role will be for a part- time, seasonal need from November 2022 - June 2023. Preferred candidates will have a flexible schedule, be able to work weekends & holidays, and understand that time off requests will not be honored during March or April (key event/ festival months).

Role Responsibilities

• Daily set-up and breakdown of activities within the department
• Possess expert knowledge of all equipment related to recreational activities and amenities
• Ability to demonstrate or train others on safe and effective usage of equipment
• Assist with creating innovative outdoor pursuits recreational offerings
• Keep inventory of equipment
• Assist members with the general knowledge of activities offered by Youth Activities
• Continuous daily maintenance of respective area
• Continuously promote positive experiences with high energy and attention to detail
• Represent the Company at off-property adventures
• Complete a daily report of member & guest participation
• Provide exceptional service and communication at all times with members/guests and team members
• Maintain requirements to have an effective AED, First Aid, and CPR program
• Coordinate with or assist other departments as needed
• Able to plan a monthly activity guide of activities
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, high energy and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members
• Must possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Ability to navigate computer and its programs
• Expert knowledge of indoor and outdoor recreational activities, with emphasis on hiking and biking trails
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages preferred
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling in excess of 50 pounds
