Location: T. Boone Pickens YMCA (supervising Dallas, Midlothian, Waxahachie territories)

Reporting to one of two Regional Executive Childcare Directors, a Senior Program Director is responsible for the overall success, quality assurance, relationships, and growth of an assigned territory in the Dallas Metroplex afterschool and summer day camp programs. The Senior Director will be accountable for the growth and supervision of a team of 4-6 Full Time staff, managing a budget of 5m+. Indirect supervision of 200+ PT staff. To be successful in this role, the individual must be forward-thinking, strategic, compassionate and demonstrate exemplary emotional maturity and executive presence. The Senior Director will work closely with a multitude of other Directors and Community leaders to support the goals of a 12+m Childcare branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, and will ensures safety, program fidelity, excellent customer service and uphold the culture and expectations of one of the largest branches at the Dallas YMCA.

Key Focus Areas:

Responsible for territory childcare operations ensuring a growth-based model at existing sites through quality programming and safety, and happy/productive Team Members, both full and part time. Able to formulate solutions and adapt to shifts in territory and program delivery. Manages and adheres to the year-round chart of work. Successfully leads Annual Campaign in his/her/their division.

Oversees the hiring, training, and development of staff. Works to provide program initiatives, marketing initiatives, ensures clean and well-maintained programs that are in licensing and YMCA expectations, ensures staff development. Accountable for the development and achievement of territory budget through ensuring budget controls are in place, payroll oversite is maintained, and other expenses are monitored.

Models relationship-building skills in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community. YMCA relationships include but not limited to Y Branch Executives and staff, Centralized Program Leads and their teams, Childcare Business Services Director, ROC, and other Childcare Team Members. Develops and nurtures Community relationships that will further the goals of our cause-driven organization and strengthen school based & branch-based relationships and staff retention.

Maintain leadership and an active role in the following committees: Curriculum, Training, Quality Improvement and Summer Camp leadership.

Works with diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure “For All” in our communities and staffing.

Supports the overall objectives and culture of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, and the Childcare Branch.

Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience

Five or more years of comparable management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency with a budget of 3 million or greater

Proven track record of leading multi-site locations including staff at varying levels

Experience in volunteer development, fundraising and fiscal management

Experience & Background: 5+ years of senior management experience with a demonstrated successful track record with a budget accountability of $3M+. Effective communication, networking, and collaboration skills

Ability to manage teams of staff and volunteers

Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, capable of working effectively with board members, staff members, volunteers, and donors/prospects

Ability to represent the YMCA in a mature and professional manner building strong relationships with leaders in a wide variety of organizations in the community

Ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization

Developing Self & Others: Develops self and supports others (e.g., staff, volunteers, members, program participants), both formally and informally, to achieve their highest potential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
