What to Expect

The Workplace Operations Technician will help create and maintain a functional and welcoming employee experience at Giga Nevada. The position involves all aspects of customer service and requires a professional positive attitude. Applicants must demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a desire to learn.
What You’ll Do

· Provides excellent customer service at all times and to all clients, whether internal or external

· Performs a variety of day-to-day tasks and projects across multiple arenas such as operating in offices, warehouses, and cafeterias as well as supporting inventory management and event operation

· Supports preventative maintenance programs for culinary, janitorial, office, and workplace assets, including performing routine field inspections of equipment and systems

· Utilizes digital project management software and communications platforms with team to determine daily priorities and tasks

· Follows proper safety procedures at all times and identifies workplace hazards to the appropriate personnel

· Utilizes technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills to accomplish tasks with little to no oversight or direction.

· Uses basic tools and equipment to perform daily duties such power tools, pallet jacks, compactors, etc.

· Builds basic equipment and workplace furniture following instructions provided by manufacturers

· Loads and unloads palletized/carted items to and from shipping docks, warehouses, and other designated areas as shipments and supply needs require

· Partners with other teams/departments in the facility as needed or requested

· Practices good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company.

· Works with a critical mind to identify, report, and solve problems in a creative and practical manner

· Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, defined plans, and written/verbal instructions
What You’ll Bring

· Positive attitude and strong background in customer service.

· Ability to take direction with attention to detail and complete follow through.

· Must have high degree of initiative, and the ability to work effectively both alone and with other people depending on the tasks at hand

· Forklift experience preferred

· Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to professionally interact with all levels of management, our internal customers, and our vendors.

· Willingness to provide feedback, ideas, and best practices to management.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $39.00 per hour
