The Purpose:

To support the Community’s staffing function of nursing team members to provide exceptional and necessary resident care.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure direct care staffing and ratios meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure daily and monthly schedules are posted accordingly and accurate in OnShift
  • Replace open shifts due to call-ins or staffing fluctuations.
  • Champion labor efficiency by maintaining adequate staff (including PRN pool), avoiding scheduled overtime, and leveraging overtime with team members not approaching overtime.
  • Report to DON team members with excessive tardiness or absenteeism according to policy.
  • Review complaints and grievances pertinent to staffing/scheduling with the DON.
  • Work with HR Manager and DON when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and policy.
  • Assist/provide direct resident care as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent employee information in accordance with the Privacy Act, as well as our community's established policies governing the release of information.
  • Assist HR Manager in recruiting new nursing staff by answering applicant calls regarding positions available and coordinating interviews.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma and one (1) year of business office or staffing experience
  • LVN license in good standing with the State
