Position Summary

The Workforce Compliance Analyst, in coordination with the Workforce Compliance Manager, ensures the success of ACAM’s workforce programs. Through compliance monitoring in the areas of financial and performance reporting, personnel, collaborative structure, branding, data security, contractor performance and other areas, this position enhances the smooth implementation of workforce programs.
Working collaboratively with other ACAM programs, this position maintains consistency in program delivery, compliance, and reporting.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist the Workforce Compliance Manager with routine compliance reviews of ACAM programs and subrecipients/vendors.
  • Support the Workforce Compliance Manager to ensure all workforce team members meet and document annual training requirements.
  • Serve as back up Licensed Information Security Officer (LISO).
  • Participate in Workforce Solutions and Harris County trainings on all aspects of contracts to track compliance in all areas.
  • Support outreach and enrollment efforts as needed to achieve program targets.
  • Assist the Workforce Compliance Manager with branding requirements established by

Workforce Solutions and enable compliance with requirements for all partners.

  • Assist the Workforce Compliance Manager with ACAM procurement for needed supplies and services, following procurement guidelines and regulations.
  • Understand, review, and monitor the Management Information Systems used in job matching, recruitment, data entry and client/customer requirements.
  • Verifies continuing client/customer eligibility.
  • Maintains tracking system to review and document financial assistance expenses.
  • Assist Eligibility and Navigation Specialists (ENS) to complete requests for financial aid and supportive services.
  • Properly enroll ACAM’s work-based learning participants/interns in the Nextep system as part-time staff.
  • Ensure ACAM’s work-based learning participants’ timesheets are collected, reviewed and entered into the payroll system for accurate, timely payment.
  • Monitor Work-based learning hours and financial assistance payments to ensure compliance with requirements and financial limits.
  • Reviews support documentation to ensure its completeness and accuracy.
  • Provides current labor market information.
  • Provides ongoing technical assistance to partners and internal staff to comply with policies, regulations, and financial requirements.
  • Works closely with leadership team to ensure supportive service funds expenditure benchmarks are met.
  • Support Workforce Compliance Manager to collect and prepare all documents needed for audits, reviews and monitoring visits.
  • Build relationships with key staff at each of the NextGen partners.
  • Attend and actively engage in required Workforce Solutions meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Training

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nonprofit compliance and reporting.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint and Word, able to learn new software.

Experience and Qualifications

  • One to three years in workforce development.
  • Experience with data analysis, oral and written presentation, budget preparation, and monitoring.
  • Ability to write clear and accurate correspondence in English; Ability to calculate figures and amounts; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Experience with customer tracking and management information system entry.
  • Bookkeeping experience and/or prior experience reviewing expenses/invoices for accuracy a plus.
  • Experience with customer tracking and management information system entry.

Compensation

  • $45,000–$54,000 annually, based upon experience
  • Medical, dental, vision provided; pension after six months.
