SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer the Women's Health Nurse practitioner provides primary medical care services for individuals and families on a continuing basis regardless of age, race or sex, under general supervision of and in collaboration with a Physician.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribes guidelines and instructions of Physician.
Elicits and records information about patient’s medical history.
Administers or prescribes treatments and medications.
Promotes health and advises patients of diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic test to identify and assess patient’s condition.
May perform surgical office procedures.
Refers patients to Physician or medical specialists for consultant services when necessary for patient’s wellbeing.
Additional clinical or administrative duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer or Chief Executive Officer to promote the success and welfare of the organization.
Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patients condition.
Discuss care with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
Maintains a courteous, helpful and conscientious attitude in dealing with co-workers and patients and their families ensuring professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Regular and Prompt attendance at work.
All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, LICENSING, CERTIFICATES AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree (M..A) or equivalent; or four to ten years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. . Current State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner License, current DEA License. Board certification. Basic Life Support Certification Required.
