Community Connections Inc. is looking for Wheelchair Van Drivers to join our Transportation Services team based in Fall River, MA. In this role, you will support individuals with disabilities by ensuring safety and providing freedom of movement and access to the community. Wheelchair Van Drivers will aid Community Connections in their mission to provide optimal independence and enriching services to people with disabilities. We are looking for Wheelchair Van Drivers with a commitment to compassion, safety and serving the community.

What you'll do as a Wheelchair Van Driver.

• Ensure the safe daily transportation of individuals on route
• Assist individuals entering and exiting the vehicle as needed
• Provide curb to curb service in a professional, safe and courteous manner
• Conduct and document vehicle safety check prior to each route
• Monitor the behavior and/or medical condition of individuals with disabilities during daily transport
• Report and record all incidents to the Transportation Manager

What you'll need as a Wheelchair Van Driver:

• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• 2+ years as a licensed driver
• Ability to assist individuals in and out of vehicles
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen required

• Are you available to work a split shift Monday-Friday? Hours are approx. 7am-9am and then 2:30pm-4:30pm.
• This is a part time, 20 hour per week position. Are you able to work a part time 20 hour per week role?
• This position requires assisting individuals with disabilities in and out of the van, securing wheelchairs, assisting with seatbelts and regular lifting and moving. Are you able to comfortably perform those job duties?
• If selected for this role, you will be subject to an alcohol and drug (including marijuana) test. Would you be willing to take that test?

• What are your hourly rate expectations for this role? Depending on relevant experience, the rate may range between $16-$17.
