Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for layouts, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as tractor frames, tractor parts, and OEM parts for sale. Primary duties of this role will center around welding of HEAVY plate steel assemblies, frames, and other structures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
  • Layouts, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
  • Welding: Fluxcore, GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, Oxy/Fuel
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc or gas welding equipment.
  • Reads blueprints
  • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Requires good critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a professional, outgoing manner.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people, and remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Must be friendly, courteous, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
  • Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as may be required.
  • Use of safety glasses, steel toed shoes, and other job related PPE required
  • Must know MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Gas, and Stick (SMAW) welding
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
