SUMMARY: 2nd shift 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

As a Welder, you will be a critical team member ensuring that American LandMaster UTVs are built and shipped successfully – meeting our unwavering commitment to quality. $22/hour plus an additional $1/hour perfect attendance bonus plus a $500 sign on bonus!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Welds components using MIG welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
  • Test and inspect welded surface and structure to discover flaws.
  • Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
  • Be capable of increasing speed with repetition of welds and be consistent with the integrity of weld.
  • Move parts in and move finished product out of welding area.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; ensure tools, equipment, gages and fixtures are in good working order.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplish organization goals by contributing to quality discussions and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE):

Welding certification or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience as welder
  • Experience using MIG welding equipment
  • Ability to use weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
  • Technical knowledge and ability to read work instructions blueprints, drawings etc.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and use of proactive clothing
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent eye-hand coordination
  • Must be able to identify and measure material and perform simple math
  • Ability to deal with typical job related problems involving several possible solutions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour
