Payroll Administrator
Established group of family-owned automobile dealerships based out of Houston, TX. We have served the automotive needs of Texas since 1938 by maintaining a long-established tradition of excellence and customer satisfaction.
Job Overview:
Prepare and process Weekly and off-cycle payroll transactions, including Flag Technicians, Hourly and commissioned employees. This includes but is not limited to commissions, bonuses, garnishments, benefits contributions/uploads, tax withholdings, rate changes, and deductions, complying with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Process payroll-related changes. Maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Creates and runs payroll reports as needed or requested.
Serve as the initial contact for payroll-related questions: Providing information, addressing issues, and answering questions about payroll-related matters: special projects and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities:
- Processes weekly payroll ensuring accuracy on deductions, time keep corrections, final pay for terminated employees
- Maintain date intergrity by inputting and processsing new hires, terminations, employee data change, garnishments, deductions, time-off requests
- Employment verifications
- Reconcile payroll before transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Understand proper taxation of employer-paid benefits
- Perform new hire orientations
- Assist with other payroll duties as required
- Serve as main point of contact for all payroll-relatied questions in a timely and accurate manner
- Working knowledge of payroll best practices
- Strong work ethic and team player
- High degree of professionalism
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years of ADP payroll processing experience
- Previous experience and high proficiency in ADP WFN are preferred, including Time & Attendance, Custom reports, Managing Policies, Validation Tables, Benefit Plan setup, and Security Management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Ability to maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet all deadlines - Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills

Must be eligible to work in the US and pass pre-employment screening to include drug screen and criminal background check
