Position: Wealth Management Associate with Northwestern Mutual
· Looking for a candidate to work with two financial advisers at Northwestern Mutual. The person for the role is a self-starter and an outgoing individual with the ability to manage multiple projects/cases at once. This position requires a basic understanding of finance and investing. The individual must be confident, decisive, and able to communicate in a professional manner to clients and team members. The ultimate success in the role will be based on the candidate’s ability to execute client’s financial plans with the integration into the workflows of the team. Representing Northwestern Mutual in a professional manner and living the core values of the team are paramount. Punctuality, not afraid to ask questions, high desire to be a “go getter” with drive to continuously grow, detail oriented, and accurate execution to meet deadlines are all important characteristics to be successful at the job.
Responsibilities
Execution:
· Primary focus on clients who purchase life, disability, long term care insurance, and investment accounts, and manage the entire underwriting process for those clients, including application/paperwork completion.
· Speak effectively and accurately with clients to ensure adequate information is obtained to complete the applicable paperwork.
· Handle all underwriting of insurance policies in a timely manner (usually less than 30 days, 30-60 days max)
· Review and communicate insurance/investment portfolio information to clients.
· Obtain insurance proposals and quotations from brokers as needed.
· Build relationships as a critical segment of the team with new and existing client base.
· Schedule client policy delivery meetings and medical examinations.
· Prepare and process all paperwork needed for basic investment accounts.
· Processing and monitoring funding of annuities and asset transfers to ensure selected asset allocation is implemented.
· Receiving and forwarding checks and related paperwork to investment operations area for annuities processing.
· Cold/referral calling/prospecting to gauge interest of potential clients
Client Service:
· Provide concierge service to all existing clients.
· Corresponding with clients to handle basic & advanced insurance-related service issues.
· Contacting clients to provide answers and explanations of their insurance portfolio.
· Maintaining account follow-ups and service requirements.
· Prepare client summary reports & insurance illustrations for annual reviews.
· Create feeder lists to facilitate the acquisition of new clients.
Admin & Misc.:
· Manage and confirm calendar appointments
· Maintain supplies of current insurance/investment-related marketing materials. Keep abreast of home office marketing resources.
· Maintain and provide client monthly birthday and age change lists.
· Maintain accurate client contact info on CRM.
· Generate feed name lists using Linked In and other social media. Entering referrals in CRM accurately.
· Maintain Social Networking and Hearsay Social accounts.
· Basic filing, organization and maintenance of office equipment and office supplies.
Qualifications
· Health and Life licensed required (2nd choice - gain licensing within 3 months of employment)
· Financial Service or Insurance industry experience preferred.
· One-year securities experience preferred.
· Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to practice attentive and active listening, and communicate in an open and direct manner.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner.
- Willingness to learn.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
