ServiceMaster National Capital Restoration provides emergency response, mitigation, and cleanup of properties damaged by water, fire, mold, and biohazards including disinfection services. We are looking to hire a Technician willing to learn all aspects of property restoration. This individual will help us improve our capability to render professional-level service in a timely and quality manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform water/fire/smoke damage, mold remediation, and disinfection services
• Cutting and removing drywall, insulation, carpet, and other types of installed flooring
• Removing/disposing of non-salvageable materials, cleaning, light, and demolition
• Sets up and monitors air movers and/or dehumidifiers
• Report any equipment malfunction to the supervisor
• Report any customer problems or damage to the supervisor
• Complete assigned job tasks according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job
• Perform daily monitoring and required activities on all active jobs with a sense of urgency

Requirements

• Ability to work within a team
• Follow company guidelines and standards
• Valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to work rotating on-call shift
• Willingness to participate in all training as needed or required
• Driving a company vehicle safely at all times
• Report to work on time in a clean, complete uniform provided by the company
• Ability to pass DOT physical exam and obtain a DOT certificate in order to operate vehicles.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Move up to 50 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, crawling, and crouching is required. Express or exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given. For safety reasons, respirators, which are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face. Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions: The change of environments such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
