Storyful works with the world’s largest and most innovative media companies, digital publishers, news brands and wire services. This role will be responsible for managing, improving and growing our customer base. The role requires deep industry expertise and contacts, proven sales ability, and a proven track record in closing high value deals. It will also require you to persistently explore and uncover the evolving business needs of our key clients and drive product development and sales strategy to solve this.
Performance areas
This role is an integral part of the Senior Sales Leadership team responsible for defining, managing, and leading the execution of the Newswire growth plan, working closely with key stakeholders in the business.
Revenue

Meet and exceed revenue targets

Support and develop sales directors and sales managers in building new client relationships and generating revenue

Identify gaps in revenue and implement relevant strategies to close

Client Relationships

Identify, develop, drive and deliver sales opportunities

Collaborate with partners on a strategic level to develop innovative and high impact sales relationships

Ensure output is customer centric and all opportunities meet customer needs and objectives

Build and maintain relationships with clients and agencies at a senior level

Key stakeholder in creating, launching and managing multi-channel campaigns and initiatives led by Marketing, to drive organic acquisition and engagement
Strategy and Implementation

Develop strategies and create plans to penetrate new accounts and markets and optimize the best channels to grow revenue

Assist with the creation of the strategic go-to-market Newswire positioning and trade communication plans & materials

Continuously improve the effectiveness of sales systems, sales methodologies and processes

Proactively prioritize growth and sales performance through data-driven analysis

Maintain awareness of competitors and monitor their activities and relevant actions

In tandem with key stakeholders in business, assess the assignment of sales quotas, territories and new customer acquisition goals

Develop and execute client experience strategy with Partnership Solutions/Sales Enablement

Work in conjunction with the product & marketing team to develop and enhance sales messaging and collateral

Drive process, drive demand and support revenue generation to Newswire

Job Category:
NYC Pay Range: $120,000 - $240,000
