Title: VP, Professional Services Lead (NA)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Key leader with responsibility for the North American Services practice. Also responsible for leading a group of teams to deliver projects for clients. Considered an expert within the Practice, serving as the key leadership resource for senior clients, and will work across multiple complex projects simultaneously. Has internal responsibilities to further the Services agenda and best practices. Manages schedules, financials, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Identifies and addresses potential issues and risks that may impact project deliverables and serves as the point of escalation for project related activities, and is the escalation point for the Customer for Duck Creek Professional Services.
  • Demonstrated experience growing and leading a workforce of >200+ FTE’s
  • Provides leadership and direction to a group within the Services practice and builds and leads a culture of accountability to meet business objectives and goals
  • Oversees the overall people management of the group with responsibilities including, but not limited to, staffing, the management of direct reports, and subordinate team members, setting performance objectives, conducting annual performance reviews, and recommends pay actions
  • Develops staff members through coaching and fostering of a positive work environment
  • Attracts, grows, engages and retains talent
  • Develops and contributes to the overall group’s Strategy and Vision
  • Responsible for functional budgets and schedules within the group to meet Company requirements
  • Grows strong relationships with senior clients, counsel clients, and become a trusted advisor
  • Delivers expert analysis of existing and planned applications within client businesses
  • Provides assessments of applications to ensure alignment with strategic business goals
  • Oversees the development of high-level software solutions through outstanding functional/technical expertise and enterprise business system/industry requirements
  • Oversees the design for updated business processes, including the assessment of the capabilities of existing procedures
  • Oversees application implementation lifecycles which could include design, coding and testing to final deployment with a customer success focus
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of clients’ business and industry, anticipating and addressing opportunities and issues as they arise
  • Contributes IP back to the Services Delivery practice

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience
  • At least 8-10 years working in leadership within a Professional Service environment
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a portfolio of accounts >$20M in annual Professional Services revenue
  • A working knowledge of P&C Insurance and packaged software implementations is preferred
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget
  • Experience leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Superior leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategically minded, with ability to identify areas for business improvement and growth
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering high-impact results to meet clients’ needs
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
  • Strong experience in client expectations management and scope management
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
  • Demonstrated experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
