The Vice President of LTL Operations is responsible for the overall operational performance of the entire LTL Operations team.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee all operations activities in respective region which includes: distribution, customer service, vendor payables, etc.
- Assist with the continued growth of business through supporting sales efforts and new start-ups.
- Build and nurture employee engagement by creating environment within which individuals and teams can grow and excel by serving as a coach/mentor.
- Measure the performance of managed/CTM accounts and develop action plans for improvement areas.
- Manage department growth and needs in alignment with department’s P&L.
- Actively work to hire, develop, maintain, and build a cohesive team that exemplifies company values and operates to support company mission statement.
- Assist to utilize technology to improve operations and expenses.
- Implement job-related training for all employees to his/her department.
- Perform regular office visits to other branches with LTL presence to ensure operational support is being given to sales team.
- Participate in strategic objectives and long term goals for department.
