Results Partners is a vineyard management company serving vineyards in both the Willamette Valley and Columbia Valley. This position would be based at our Willamette Valley location, where we manage vineyards under a variety of farming practices (LIVE, Organic, Biodynamic and conventional). We are seeking a full-time Viticulture Technician to join our team. In addition to standard viticulture work, this job offers the opportunity to assist with our animal husbandry program.

Individuals in this position will spend their days working on the hillsides of the Willamette Valley in vineyards of every shape and size and across multiple farming methods. Imagine spending your summer days hiking through vineyards, assisting with data collection, and helping inform vineyard management practices. Then in the fall, assist with morning grape picks and scouting in the afternoons. Spend wintertime in foggy vineyards pruning amongst other winter tasks.

This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working outside, learning new things and has a strong work ethic. Our Viticulture Team works in more than just viticulture work, with an animal husbandry program, orchard management, and a focus on integrated pest management, this job is as diverse as it is fun.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pest and disease scouting
  • General data collection and entry
  • Collect yield data with the help of summer interns
  • Collect soil, vine tissue, and water samples for irrigation suitability and/or potability as needed
  • Assist with maintenance of weather stations
  • Install block markers to ensure vineyard block breaks are clearly communicated in the field
  • Assist with animal husbandry program

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to work long days outside in variable weather conditions
  • Viticulture or animal husbandry skills a plus
  • Communication skills; can communicate in English, Spanish speaking skills a plus
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must be computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must have a good driving record, dependable transportation
  • Must work long hours as required (6 days a week during our busy time)
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Must have a good sense of humor
