THE POSITION

Position Overview & Responsibilities

Protos is looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in the security industry, off duty law enforcement, and operations management. As our VP of Off Duty Operations, you will be responsible for overall direction and guidance of the Katy, TX Operations Center. The objective of the role is maximizing growth and profitability as well as day-to-day leadership and management of Off Duty operations. The VP of Off Duty Operations must possess the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal characteristics:

• Develops, directs, and oversees effective Operations Center and Field Operations strategies and processes to ensure company goals are met or exceeded
• Provides direction to management staff in establishing programs that maximize growth and profit to ensure attainment of goals in business plan
• Develops and oversees short and long-term strategies and objectives to ensure business growth and profit
• Develops and maintains customer centric focus with both clients and off-duty providers
• Ensures full functionality of office and manage day-to-day functions
• Evaluates performance against operating plans and standards. Provides reports to Senior Management on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans
• Works with Senior Management team to provide direction and structure for operating departments to function effectively and efficiently
• Establishes, reviews, and approves Operations division budgets. Operates within and holds direct reports accountable to a specified budget
• Establishes Key Performance Indicators for various functions and teams within the Operations department
• Directs, coaches, and mentors staff to ensure engagement and productivity levels are maintained; provides regular and consistent feedback and communication throughout the year and during goal setting and follow-up sessions and performance reviews
• Aligns with organizational technology enhancements and goals
• Negotiates supply agreements
• Abides by all policies and procedures of Single Source Security, LLC dba Protos Security
• Ensures all legal and compliance standards are met and maintained
• Requires excellent analytical, planning, leadership, and presentation skills
• Requires interaction with all levels of management throughout the company, the ability to prioritize multiple projects, and to manage many concurrent projects
• Accountable and effective at leading high business level decisions
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and utilize significant data to make sound business decisions; extremely comfortable with developing and interpreting quantitative analysis
• Ability to conceptualize beyond existing barriers, methods, and practices
• Individual and team development skills, as well as build and maintain partnerships with other areas of the organization
• Strong contingency planning skills
• Prior process improvement and change management leadership roles
• Prior management role with P&L responsibility
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Skills, and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
• A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a comparable leadership position
• Minimum 3-5 years executive or senior leadership
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Methodical and systematic approach to work and the ability to apply logic to processes
• Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) knowledge and ability to use Excel to provide reporting in various forms; proficiency in data validation/sorting and formulas
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Corporate security, law enforcement, and operations support management experience preferred
• Process driven, detailed oriented, and highly organized

Travel

Travel may be required. Travel is expected to be less than 50%. A valid Driver’s License is required.

Compensation

Compensation includes base salary and a discretionary, performance based year-end bonus. The Company offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, etc.
