Job description
We are seeking a Vice President of Early Childhood Services to develop, implement and monitor programs and services for children and families throughout New Hampshire. The individual in this key position will work collaboratively with Human Resources to recruit and retain the workforce, ensure that goals outlined in the agency strategic plan and the children’s serves business plan are successfully implemented and coordinate and implement competency-based training that meets or exceeds licensing and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in education or early childhood environment
- At least 5 years of supervisory and administrative experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Additional responsibilities include:
- Ensure that employees receive documented performance feedback that includes measurable goals.
- Create a positive work environment for employees that minimizes turnover.
- Develop and maintain processes to ensure that licensing and accreditation standards are consistently met. Ensure that CDC programs meet or exceed NAEYC standards
- Ensure curriculum, training and practices promote the inclusion of children with disabilities.
- Manage all aspects of operations related to child and family services including program development, financial management and personnel management.
- Ensure operation of children’s and family programs conform with all laws and guidelines of federal, state and local governments, rulemaking agencies third party payers and other regulators.
- Develop and maintain systems to ensure case documentation is completed and stored according to licensing and accreditation standards.
- Routinely survey parents and referral sources to assess satisfaction. Analyze trends and adjust operations accordingly.
- Ensure excellent communication with parents and guardians of children served.
- Develop and implement a quality improvement plan in each program that includes outcome reporting.
- Work in collaboration with marketing to increase the visibility of services to maximize census.
- In collaboration with agency leadership, build Early Childhood Centers of Excellence throughout New Hampshire by integrating the delivery of Early Support, Outpatient Therapy and Child Development Centers.
- Work closely with the VP of Practice Management to implement practice management initiatives to streamline documentation and billing while maximizing employee utilization.
- Develop and monitor annual budget ensuring that program meets or exceeds budget target.
- Develop, monitor and report on administrative, financial, professional and programmatic KPIs and statistics as required.
- Initiate and maintain contact with local and state agency representatives, funding agencies, donors and other organizations to promote Easter Seals services and develop new program opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with terms outlined in contracts and grants.
- Oversee onsite audits.
- In partnership with the grants team, respond to RFP’s and funding opportunities. Lead the development and implementation of approved new programs.
- In collaboration with facilities personnel, ensure the physical environment and equipment are safe and appropriate for the children served.
- Establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with public and private agencies, referring agencies, parents, funders, and community representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and solicit increased referrals.
- Establish an Easter Seals presence within each community served by the department, either personally or by delegation to management staff within the department.
- Work collaboratively with other departments within the agency to build communication, maximize resources and develop shared goals.
- Provide leadership and demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision and values of the agency.
- Provide direct service as needed.
- Participate in meetings with the Board of Directors and subcommittees as appropriate.
- Represent the agency at various meetings and functions.
Compensation: $90,000 -$95,000 annually.
Hours: This is full-time, 40 hour/week, salaried position.
