JOB TITLE: Vice President, DTC E-Commerce

Imperial is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and forward-thinking professional with an incredible track record for the position of VP, Direct to Consumer E-Commerce. The VP is responsible for directing Imperial’s rapidly growing direct to consumer e-commerce business, while also offering support and insight to other Imperial online B2B channels. This role is a hands-on position, with 2-4 direct reports, and requires cross-functional engagement to support holistic revenue goals and provides a feedback loop to share input back to the organization to improve positioning with program, product development and end-user support.

RESPONSIBILITIES as Vice President, DTC E-Commerce


Strategy & Planning

  • Build business case and plans and communicate upward as well as through the organization
  • Develop strong relationships with Marketing, Supply Chain, Production, Logistics and Operations, IT and Product Development.
  • Monitor competitor activity to identify new opportunities for growth or threats to the business.
  • Provide strategic and operational input to Product Development.
  • Identify new areas of e-commerce opportunities beyond current organizational thinking.

P&L

  • Own and drives the P/L for this channel
  • Develop short-term and long-term financial projections
  • Operate high level dashboard KPIs through supporting metrics (e.g., revenue, margin, shopper conversion, AOV, abandonment rate, LTV:CAC).
  • Review performance metrics and reports and develops action plans to ensure performance targets are met through the continuous improvement process.

Operations – UX, Merchandising, Technology, Fulfillment

  • Provide thought leadership, innovation, and process-optimization initiatives, such as implementing e-commerce software and other industry best practices and identifying new areas of e-commerce opportunities beyond current brand offering.
  • Manage the user experience of the websites including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct monthly operational reviews on key customer support issues, performance reports, and competitive pricing and promotion analysis.
  • Manage all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce and communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership and cross-functional partners.

Marketing

  • Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy that aligns with business goals and manage the digital marketing budget to ensure that it aligns with the goals of the campaign.
  • Own and manage internet marketing solutions, social media integration, search engine optimization (SEO), and other monitoring methodologies and analytics: evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement and test e-commerce initiatives.
  • Organize and oversee Imperial’s online advertising campaigns with current digital marketing agency.

Team

  • Configure and build team to align with the company vision, priorities and strategies, identifying clear roles and career paths, and maintaining a high bar for hiring and promoting
  • Lead as player/coach, mentoring, coaching and placing members into positions that path to current and future success
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the team meets or exceeds its goals while developing professionally

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH AND REPORT TO?


You will directly report to the Senior Vice President, Product & Marketing.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU?


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of e-commerce technology and sophisticated analytics.
  • Proven business planning, budgeting, and P&L skills.
  • Prior experience working with an outside digital marketing agency and other 3rd party resources
  • Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results and drawing conclusions.
  • Strong hands-on understanding of test and learn methodologies.
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in both Direct to Consumer and B2B e-commerce.

WHERE WILL YOU BE NEEDED?


This position is open to a hybrid schedule. Either local with an expectation of 2-3 days at the Bourbon headquarters, or if remote with at least 10% travel to HQ.


WHAT KIND OF SALARY CAN YOU EARN?


The base salary for this role is $120K and is not inclusive of other forms of compensation or benefits that may be available. Our philosophy on compensation is driven by the goal of attracting, developing, and retaining the best people to further our mission, vision, and business goals. Compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including and not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
