Role Summary/Purpose

As a key member of the B2B Digital Products Team, this leadership role is responsible for helping drive and achieve Synchrony’s business objectives focusing on the Commercial credit products. The Digital Program Manager will be responsible for leading a set of Agile teams that deliver new features, capabilities and enhanced B2B experiences. The preferred candidate will demonstrate SYF’s ability to understand and meet our client’s and customer’s needs through technology-driven and innovative solutions in partnership with Technology, Credit and other Synchrony teams. This leader will need to be a strategist, executor, and strong communicator to help identify opportunities for product expansion and enhancement that enables business growth.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Manage, guide and develop a group of experienced Agile Product Owners

  • Partner with the B2B Product Management team to develop and implement new digital platform features and capabilities inclusive of client requests, relevant marketplace trends, and competitive assessments

  • Manage and prioritize the flow of work, including coordination of multiple teams using Scaled Agile methodology

  • Consult with cross functional groups, clients, and outside partners to ensure alignment and resource optimization to deliver on prioritized initiatives and the Commercial Product roadmap

  • Participate and Co-lead in Agile Program Increment (PI) planning to define release and program increments

  • Participate in product demos and Inspect and Adapt activities

  • Work closely with the UX team and other stakeholders to deliver best in class digital experiences

  • Work with CX Strategist to understand and incorporate industry insights, consumer research, market analysis, and benchmarking of digital capabilities/roadmap against competition

  • Partner with client, Product Marketing, and the Go To Market teams to develop commercialization materials, and define client rollout schedules

  • Partner with analytics to develop, monitor and report on key metrics / KPIs to assess the performance of the product and features and determine necessary enhancements

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 7 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries

  • 3+ years managing people and teams

  • 3+ years marketing experience that includes:

  • A proven track record of launching new products or applications with demonstrated business impact

  • Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Experience with Agile Scrum or the SAFe framework

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in financial services or other highly regulated industry

  • 3+ years in Digital and/or Product Management experience

  • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills

  • Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results

  • Strong background working with clients, reporting on performance and delivering results

  • Current on financial services, payments industry trends, competitors, emerging technologies and companies

  • Strong technical knowledge

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
