Fetch Specialty & Cancer Veterinary Centers of Bonita Springs is looking for veterinary experienced ONCOLOGY NURSES to join our SW Florida team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of the Fetch family and advance your skills in oncology!

You will also have the opportunity to work with a team who practice advanced veterinary medicine in an area known for its warm weather, rich cultural history and beautiful coastal sunsets. We are open Monday thru Friday. This means no work on nights or weekends!

Our ideal candidate is able to:

• Provide excellent client communications and education
• Act as a liaison between clients, referring veterinarians, and co-workers
• Provide a high level of patient care and maintain accurate computerized patient medical records
• Exceptional venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Perform digital radiography
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assist in clinical tests and procedures such as bone marrow biopsy, lymph node biopsy, and ultrasound
• Run in house lab work and preparing/sending samples out
• Prepare prescriptions and discharge instructions for clients
• Preparation and administration of chemotherapy drugs
• Perform mathematical equations to calculate medications and chemotherapy drugs
• Willingness to perform hospital cleanliness and maintain treatment stock as needed without prompting

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Veterinary Technician-Required
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Oncology Technician-Preferred
• LVT or CVT Preferred
• Advanced math and computer skills
• Must be able to safely lift 30 lbs.
