Value Added Distributors is looking for the right person to grow into an outside sales professional. The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Sales Associate is a great place to learn and develop all the skills necessary for success. This position would be responsible for managing customer inventory through delivering, stocking, counting, scanning, and re-ordering products. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 40 to 45 hrs/week. Day shift.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities for the VMI/Sales Associate:
- Develop customer relationships.
- Pursue new sales opportunities.
- Maintain customer inventory levels.
- Establish & maintain customer binders for each VMI customer.
- Participate in weekly conference calls with other VMI associates and VMI Managers.
- Meet with the branch manager weekly (5-10) minutes to address any changes in stock levels at the customer location.
- Establish a backup training schedule with the branch manager to ensure proper coverage.
- Run usage reports quarterly and review them with outside sales personnel.
- Review biannual VMI reports with customers.
- Pull and deliver the product to the proper inventory location, department, or personnel.
- Order entry.
- Shipping & Receiving operations
- Inventory management
- Warehouse operations
Necessary Skills for the VMI/Sales Associate:
- Good decision-making ability, be highly organized with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Highly effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
Required Skills for the VMI/Sales Associate:
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Comfortable and willing to drive in all types of weather.
This position would be working in Southern WI.
