Job description

This Van Driver position is responsible to maintain a safe and efficient means of transporting guests and/or employees to and from specified destinations. The position works in cooperation with other inn personnel to ensure quality and service standards are maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport inn level guests or employees on a timely basis as requested.
• Lift guest’s luggage on and off the shuttle.
• Maintains positive guest relations.
• Maintain a safe and clean transportation vehicle.
• Report vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Complete guest departure list.
• Ensure pick up and drop off areas are clean and properly maintained.
• Properly complete transportation documents as needed.
• Complete AM/PM room racks.
• Conduct property walk and pick up trash (litter, cigarette butts, etc.); report any maintenance issues to appropriate department.
• Empty trash cans and unload trash barrels at trash dumpster.
• Assist with cleaning common areas (guest laundry, vending room, lobby, etc.)
• Keep walkways salted and shoveled during inclement weather.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Schedule should be flexible and available on weekends and Holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have a current valid driver’s license.
• Driver must maintain a good driving record.
• Decision making and problem solving skills.
• Comply with good grooming and proper appearance standards.
• Basic communication skills (reading, writing, comprehension).
