UX Designer

Job Level: Mid-Level

Location: Orem, UT

FLSA Status: Exempt

Shift: Full-time (40 hours)

Compensation: $75-90,000 per year (depending on experience)



Position Summary: 

As a UX Designer at Blue Raven Solar, you will be collaborating with a talented team of creative problem solvers, engineers, and business leaders to design solutions for an in-house sales and customer enablement platform that empowers Blue Raven team members to provide an exceptional experience to our customers. Product discovery is where you shine. You are the bridge between our users and engineers. You’ll meet regularly with sales and operations team members, lead demos with stakeholders, and work with engineers to turn your designs into a reality. We focus on and prioritize collaboration across the product team and work to ensure product management, design, and engineering are partners in discovery.

Essential Duties: 

• Design experiences, interactions, and features that improve user experience for continued growth and success of our product
• Understand user problems and be the voice of the user when collaborating with product managers and engineers in discovery
• Own the design process for your team’s features, including research, validation, and iteration
• Communicate user intents, motivations, and needs, to drive delightful experiences
• Support engineers in developing and implementing your designs
• Strengthen Blue Raven product and design culture and help evangelize the product within the organization

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Sound knowledge of core design methods (sketching, wireframing, storyboarding, etc.)
• Experience in both mobile and web UX design
• Professional UX design experience or solid portfolio of academic work
• Ability to design in various contexts, contributing to long-term strategic projects, last-minute fixes, and short-term solutions
• Demonstrated ability to communicate sound design rationale through different mediums and design artifacts
• Experience designing intuitive solutions while working with back-end constraints
• Thrive working in a fast-paced, startup type environment with a bias towards finding solutions vs. shutting down ideas
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, industrial design, human computer interaction, multidisciplinary design, user experience, computer science, or a related field.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
