Position Description: Survey Utility Engineering (S.U.E.) Project Manager
** Location: Atlanta, GA **
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret planimetric and design plans, profiles and cross sections, utility records, etc.
- Develop utility drawings that are complete, accurate and organized for rural and urban environments while following client standards and expectations
- Administer S.U.E. proposals, estimates, and presentations while following Accura’s standards and guidelines
- Train and develop SUE technicians and staff when needed
- Participate in pre-planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives
- Coordinate survey work in relation with survey utility engineering
- Provide support to senior managers within the survey department when necessary
- Assist on projects requested by management personnel when needed
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED is required
- Must possess a valid current driver’s license
- Must have at least 2-4 years of experience working with AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Must possess general knowledge of geophysical equipment, survey and project field documentation, and vacuum excavation tactics to expose utilities
- Must have project management and survey experience
- Experience with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is preferred
- Experience with GIS platforms is desirable
- GDOT experience in procedures and deliverable requirements is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of ASCE 38 guidelines and associated quality levels is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
- Ability to carry survey instruments and equipment
- This position requires 80% of in-office work and 20% in-field
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
