What you will do:

  • Client data organization and document management
  • Review client records (e.g., accounting documents, procedures, etc.) to identify areas of potential unclaimed property noncompliance
  • Conduct interviews of clients’ accounting and departmental personnel
  • Identify clients’ potential unclaimed property exposure
    • Developing strategic plans to limit clients’ potential exposure
    • Presenting suggestions to clients to reduce potential exposure
    • Creating models by employing methodologies to calculate potential exposure
  • Assist with the management of clients’ state unclaimed property audits
  • Aid in drafting technical written memorandums
  • Interact with clients, outside legal counsel, and state unclaimed property representatives
  • Assist with analysis of clients’ unclaimed property policies and procedures
  • Prepare and file annual unclaimed property reports to all US jurisdictions
  • Learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients
  • Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related degree in Business; MBA grads, CPAs, and JDs encouraged to apply
  • 1+ year(s) experience as a client serving professional for a consulting firm desired
  • Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
  • Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
  • Microsoft Suite skills
