Responsibilities

All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost effective manner. Provides health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in one of the following areas: OB/GYN, abdomen and neurosonology. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient condition essential for successful completion of the procedure. Performs all General ultrasound exams and procedures including portables. Participates in on-call assignments.

Qualifications


Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate from AMA approved school of ultrasound technology.
  • Knowledge of ultrasound examinations as well as related interventional procedures.
  • Knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation and safety.
  • Knowledge of patient transfers and positioning techniques.
  • Ability to handle multiple task / projects and meet deadlines. Demonstration of ethical and professional conduct.
  • ARDMS certificate required.
