POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking people-oriented, collaborative minded candidate to fill a full-time year-round assistant management position to help lead a dedicated and enthusiastic team at the Trout Creek Recreation Center and Northwoods Pool. We are looking for a strong partner to manage and mentor staff to provide excellent service, education, and training, while ensuring safe, attractive and well-maintained facilities at the Trout Creek Recreation Center and Northwoods Pool. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years demonstrated experience in the fields of recreation, health and fitness, aquatics, leadership and supervision, business and administration, and operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Provides excellent customer service to customers, employees, and business partners.
- Assist hiring, orienting, training, directing, motivating, evaluating, and disciplining all assigned staff. May oversee work schedules in accordance with Association policies.
- Maintain current knowledge, implements, and enforces Association policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Current knowledge of Tahoe Donner Amenity Access policies and keep staff and members informed of any changes; check member passes in accordance with Association's Amenity Access policy.
- Ensure that Association policy and procedures relative to cash handling, ticket sales, retail sales, inventory and point of sale operations are followed.
- Responsible for performing accurate accounting procedures, including collecting money for sales, accurate daily deposits, money counting, and verifying personal bank.
- Assist the Trout Creek Manager in the development of the annual operating budget and capital improvement budget for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Utilize good communications skills when answering telephones, responding to member and guest question/comments; coordinates and attends staff meetings including safety meetings.
- Troubleshoot situations and assist staff when needed to provide additional front-line assistance or resolve concerns with members and their guests.
- Maintain and ensure proper maintenance and upkeep; including spas, steam room, swimming pools, fitness room, sauna, and restrooms as needed; order custodial supplies; and coordinate additional maintenance of facility with maintenance department.
- Ensure the fitness facility, spa, sauna, steam-room, and pool areas are clean, safe, and meet the operating standards of Nevada County Health Department.
- Perform a monthly inventory of retail items and general operating supplies.
- Ensure that all complaints and problems involving the members and guests are handled in a proper and timely manner and keeps the Trout Creek Manager informed of all such problems.
- Ensure that all safety rules are enforced and that the safety of the premises for members, guests and employees are followed.
- Assist with daily snow removal of sidewalks, including shoveling and operating the snow blower.
