Duties & Expectations:

• Cut & shape wooden components using saws, planers, and sanders
• Assemble wooden components to form structures using jointers & nail guns
• Read & interpret the plan/sketch of a carpentry undertaking
• Perform the levelling & trimming of projects using implements such as power sanders and planers
• Fabricate customized woodworks

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches and understand and use a variety of measuring equipment
• Good math skills (including print conversion and geometry)
• Understand a variety of raw materials (hardwood, plywood, MDF, laminate, etc.)
• Good communication
• Organizational skills to optimize output by planning and schedule time and work
• Prior carpentry experience, preferably woodworking or trim carpentry
