EyeHealth Northwest is a large, well-established, successful private practice, serving the eye care needs of the Portland Metropolitan and Clackamas County areas. We are devoted to the full-service medical, surgical and routine vision care needs of our patients.

We are recruiting for a Triage Coordinator for our Milwaukie location. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Answer incoming calls routed to Triage desk
• Respond to triage questions and concerns according to clinic protocols to determine the severity of the patient's eye health issues and rank them according to urgency, including scheduling urgent patients
• Respond to messages left overnight and/or over the weekend at Triage desk
• Respond to messages provided by the answering service regarding patient questions or concerns
• Respond to incoming Patient Portal medical questions or prescription refills
• Respond to electronic prescription refill requests
• Take phone calls regarding medical questions or patient concerns routed by other departments
• Complete Worker Compensation and disability forms and requests
• Provide optical and CL prescriptions to patients as needed
• Answer questions and inquiries from pharmacies and outside clinics
• Arrange and schedule patient appointments and tests
• Maintain current knowledge on insurance requirements and restrictions
• Maintain current knowledge of common medications, drops, etc.
• Arrange and schedule outside testing, including obtaining authorization

The ideal candidate will have clinical experience in an eye care clinic, have superior customer service skills, be highly organized with full attention to detail, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Compensation will depend on experience.
