Job Summary:
The Transportation Coordinator will assist the Transportation Department Manager with the day-to-day operations of the transportation program including required CHP & DOT records
Anticipated temporary assignment: 3 months

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on various DOT regulatory compliance
- Maintain paper and electronic DOT records
- Create files and processes for proper record keeping
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of non-commercial vehicles
- Coordinate major maintenance with off campus vendor
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance to include: Tire repairs, wind shield wiper replacement, lightbulbs changes, inspect fluid levels, etc.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationship with Vendors
- Drive Shuttles on-fill in basis as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Three plus years of experience in transportation
- Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
- Demonstrates commitment to exceptional customer service
- Basic knowledge of gasoline and diesel vehicles systems
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Computer Skills - Data entry, Microsoft Office experience required
- Exceptional organizational & time management skills
- Has the ability to work efficiently with little to no supervision
- Class B license with passenger and air brake endorsement (preferred, not required)
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 75lbs.
