Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation
The Transfer Coordinator serves as a staff member within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation that focuses on the recruitment and yield of the transfer student population. As the university seeks growth in this area, this position will support the recruitment of over 5,000 prospective transfer students in which the university will enroll nearly 1,700 students annually.
UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $52,000 and has over 4 weeks of vacation for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Managing a recruitment territory, including visits to community colleges and target high schools, conducting presentations and information sessions, reviewing applications and rendering appropriate admissions decisions and applying university policies
- Serving as the primary UMBC liaison for the Transfer Student Alliance (TSA) program and engaging current members in the program
- Developing engagement opportunities for potential transfer students to introduce them to opportunities for study at UMBC; serving as liaison to community college personnel to plan and execute programming
- Coordinating with relevant offices/staff to ensure a smooth and seamless enrollment transition for newly admitted and prospective transfer students
- Supporting the coordination of work for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree
- Three years of related admissions and/or transfer support experience
