What you’ll do
The Training Specialist develops and delivers training programs across the Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC) based on the GMP needs and complies with corporate Quality System (QS) standards and achieves desired compliance targets. This position would support department or site wide training projects or programs, administer the Learning Management System at FMC, and provide customer support.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner to support the Training and Education Lead(s), providing instructional design and facilitation of training programs
- Perform administrative functions (data entry, scheduling, logistics, training plan changes and updates, curriculum changes and reports) for the LMS
- Support and deliver New Employee Orientation (NEO) at the site (assist with preparation, coordination, scheduling, delivery, etc. as directed)
- Partners with clients to build/modify training curricula for all levels in the organization
- Demonstrate energetic presentation skills in small or larger group environments
- Adult Learning Theory and Training/Instructional Design:
- Performs educational analysis and design for Learning and Development (L&D)/Training programs
- Supports implementation, sustainment and evaluation of L&D/Training programs
- Establishes training efficiency strategies and associated ROI
- Develop, and/or deliver training programs for the site
- Demonstrated program design skills with demonstrated ability to be creative, flexible, and innovative in course design.
- Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards related to learning theory
- Ability to develop training solutions for a variety of complex problems
- Liaise with training colleagues, customers, and vendors to identify training initiatives or improvements
- Able to manage and lead training projects/project teams to meet project milestones and timelines
- Able to work strategically and tactically in a dynamic work environment to achieve company goals. Expected to build this skill in the role.
- Develops solutions to a variety of sophisticated problems applying resourcefulness and innovation. Expected to build this skill in the role.
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines while being highly customer focused.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be well organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of computer functions including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other content delivery methodologies
- Applies established policies and standards to work
- Participates in determining objectives of assignment
- Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives
- Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives
- Exerts influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization
- Errors in judgment or failure to achieve objectives would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources
- Work is performed under general direction
- Conduct activities and interactions consistent with Company values and in compliance with the Code of Conduct and supporting Policies and Standards relevant to your role. Complete all required training on the AZ Code of Conduct and supporting Policies and Standards on time. Report potential issues of non-compliance.
Essential for the role
- Bachelors degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of cGMP industry practices
- Demonstrated learning methodology skills and experience, preferably ADDIE model and Kirkpatricks’s Levels of Evaluation
- Instructional Design experience, including design and development of web-based training modules using eLearning software, preferably Articulate 360
- Learning management system experience
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience
- Demonstrated team and collaboration skills
- Proven understanding of Sigma-LEAN methodologies a plus
