Training Manager Position Available

Founded in 1899, Austin Country Club is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas and home to one of the greatest golf instructors who ever lived, Harvey Penick. Austin Country Club is a private, family-oriented club, rich in tradition and known not only for the quality of its membership, but also for the service that exceeds expectations. Additionally, Austin Country Club serves as the host of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play 2016-2023, which brings the top 64 professional golfers in the world to the club in March of each year.
The Club consists of an 18-hole Pete Dye Design golf course, 10 lighted tennis courts, a heated swimming pool, a fitness facility, a private marina, and a large Clubhouse which includes four dining areas, a ballroom, and meeting/banquet facilities.

Training Manager:
We are looking to hire a Training Manager who will identify and monitor training needs in the organization, as well as design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs.
Responsibilities:
- The Training Manager is responsible for reviewing existing training programs and suggesting enhancements or modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention, and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, and the industry
- The Training Manager ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective
- The Training Manager should identify problems and opportunities, such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve
- The Training Manager collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs
- The Training Manager prepares and implements the training budget
- The Training Manager conducts the New Hire Orientation and performs other related duties assigned by the Director of Human Resources
- The Training Manager must be trustworthy and respect confidentiality
Qualifications
Required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of training processes
- An ability to moderate large groups
- Extreme organizational skills with a mind oriented to detail
- Leadership skills and the ability to collaborate well with others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong competency in graphic design ability
Preferred:
- The ability to plan, create, and manage time effectively
- Experience with training and development
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk while working at a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
