SUMMARY:
Enhance the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that will boost employees’ workplace performance in alliance with the organization core values. Responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates and delivers training programs in an engaging manner. Training programs cover areas such as new hire orientation, eLearning training, customer service, and supervisory/management development.
- Participates in needs analysis, curriculum development, instructional design, content development, course delivery and facilitation, and training evaluation.
- Promotes diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace through professional development courses and trainings.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed theories, principles, and practices
- Has a working knowledge of Adult Learning Theory and incorporates it into course design and instruction.
- Formulates training objectives and determines instructional methods such as online training, in-person training, or web-based (virtual) instruction.
- Updates training programs and supporting materials on a regular basis to ensure changes in policies and procedures are accurately reflected and programs are engaging.
- Tracks the success of training materials and programs and makes improvements and adjustments as needed.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty, responsibilities, essential functions and key competencies satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of training and/or teaching adults required; Master’s degree preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and databases.
- Proficiency with various virtual training platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Good organizational skills including flexibility and ability to manage more than one project at a time.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Previous office experience strongly preferred.
