Position Summary:

The Training Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration and maintenance of our Learning Management System, ensuring training content is functioning properly at all time. Under minimal supervision, you will serve as the organizational point-of-contact for user management, course management, troubleshooting, data analytics and integration with other resources. You will ensure new and existing features and functions are leveraged to meet business needs, develop best practices, and help drive system utilization and engagement. Using learning trends, features, and technologies, the Training Administrator will enhance and support the goals of the Employee Development & Engagement Department.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Manage day-to-day administrative and maintenance tasks in system, including (but not limited to): user management, course management and assignment, and content management.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promptly respond to inquiries from employees, management, and vendors. Deliver technical/functional end-user support, to include internal user training, advanced troubleshooting, issue remediation, and escalation management.
  • Track new features and support implementation of system updates, conduct functional testing of system features and content, and proactively identify process improvements to enhance user experience or administrative efficiency.
  • Enhance current LMS operational processes and procedures. Develop and maintain procedural documentation and user guides related to system administration and usage.
  • Monitor training compliance and maintain accurate training records for employees. Generate standard and custom reports for management and/or internal and external audit purposes on a scheduled and as needed basis.
  • Maintain management of training tracking process, enter student data, track completion and process communication and certifications to recipients.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to provide insight and recommendations for program optimization and process improvements.
  • Manage a large volume of data, verify accuracy and produce metrics in the form of charts, diagrams and standard reports designed to measure program efficiency and value.
  • Provide project and administrative support to all employee training development programs and processes. Coordinate training events, assist with training facilitation, moderate training activities, and analyze course evaluations/user feedback to guide learning solutions.
  • Generate training calendars under the guidance of the Director, Employee Development & Engagement. Communicate learning opportunities, courses, and other events by creating standard and custom notifications to learners to raise awareness and drive on-time completion of required training.
  • Provide support to the Training and Development Specialist as needed to meet departmental goals.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners and third-party vendors to optimize system performance.
  • Understand developing trends in training and development as it relates to learning technology to provide recommendations on learning solutions.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in corporate Training & Development required.
  • Experience with third-party LMS system administration required.
  • Data entry, data migration, and adequate knowledge of databases.
  • Training certification required or acquired within first 24 months in role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behaviors:

  • Knowledge in LMS administration, integration, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Skilled in learning principles, methodologies, LMS configuration and implementation.
  • Technical proficiency using software applications such as Microsoft Office 365 including Teams, and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization and with different levels of technological understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment and effectively communicate with peers and management.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize quantitative and qualitative data to discover, validate, and optimize drivers of performance.
  • Must be dependable, reliable and punctual.
  • Strong customer service-oriented approach yet be able to articulate and suggest other potential pathways of accomplishing objectives - never be afraid to ask, “what if”.
  • Excellent project management, organization, and time management skills with the ability to plan and organize multiple tasks to meet specified deadlines, manage multiple priorities and function in a dynamic environment. Must be flexible and have the ability to work under tight deadlines and be able to deliver completed work on time and with accuracy.
