Our Traditional Media Buyer Manager works on our client’s campaigns in the restaurant and hospitality industries.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the direct point of contact for the client, responsible for answering all client questions and concerns related to the health of their Traditional Media Buying campaigns.
- Present overall storytelling and campaign strategy to leadership and cross-functional partners on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Building relationships and maintaining ongoing communications with media representatives.
- Inventory management includes moving or adding units based on schedule changes
- Setting up new vendor forms and requesting necessary documentation
- Working through billing reconciliation with Finance teams and vendor partners
- Ensuring strict adherence to client budgets while meeting client objectives
- Staying current on all media trends and opportunities in the industry
- Oversees creative grids process and communication for all mediums to establish deadlines and specs with internal media team and key stakeholders to ensure launch times are met
- Oversees campaign implementation, creative rotation, and URL updates for tracking tags
- Manage creative trafficking for all mediums to ensure the on-time start of media activations, ensuring digital assets are trafficked correctly to be able to track revenue
- Pulling and compiling campaign reporting on media analysis and making recommendations on campaign optimizations, including cutting or increasing spending, shift of strategy, or adjustment of vendors for specific tactics to internal media managers
- Meets with media representatives and accesses media database to research available options for media placement
- Independently evaluates multi-channel proposals and works with management on securing partners on media plans and follows protocol in buying guidelines
- Works as an intermediary between Strategy and Activation teams in communicating day-to-day request
- Maintains all media buys and is responsible for opening estimates, loading avails, issuing insertion orders to manager for approval
- Actively contribute to the media planning strategies and buying across all channels
- Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive Traditional Media Buying strategies to increase revenue by purchasing broadcast media.
- The role is to understand what media channels most efficiently reach the client’s target audience within an established budget.
- Contact Media Reps to negotiate pricing and placement and execute on each campaign.
- Use various self-service platforms to build and purchase ad placement campaigns.
- Schedule advertisements for the broadcast day/week. Responsible for managing the flow of advertisements in their inventory in a commercial radio or TV station.
- Create official documents that include campaign details like the client, flight dates, spot rotation, and links to creative assets.
- Identify over and under indexed DMAs in defined markets.
- Identify over and under-indexed MSAs in defined markets.
- Podcast advertising: Identify popular podcasts for specific demographics to provide targeted reach of people who show an interest or curiosity in restaurant and hospitality topics.
- Advertising negotiations: Begin the negotiation process by sending out a request for rates to all mediums that are being considered. Once the request for proposals is completed and returned, work with key mediums to negotiate rates, and if able get any free placement or added value for the program. Once approved, create, and send insertions orders and place the media buys.
- Placement Verification & Payment: Before approval of any media invoice, you will collect an affidavit/proof for each advertisement placement. The advertisements are then tracked to assure that they were placed as ordered. If there are inconsistencies, the invoice will not be approved for payment until a suitable make good is negotiated with each medium or a refund will be taken.
- Measurement: Track and measure success for each platform using click-through rates and website google analytics for the client's website. This includes gathering and providing a detailed recap of all media elements with assigned values and reach numbers for each.
- Develops skills to handle increasingly complex matters. Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals, and business strategy
Client Facing / Customers
- Present new traditional media buying opportunities and weekly performance report to clients.
- Document and refer client needs to the appropriate departments, including copywriters, Email Marketing managers, PPC managers, graphic designers, SEO managers, and website developers.
- Effectively communicate traditional media buying campaign strategies and goals.
- Help close new accounts and upsell existing ones.
Experience Required:
Five years of experience in Traditional Media Buying management with five-plus years in digital marketing related to industry best practices. May substitute the required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis.
Two or more years of experience with Quality Assurance procedures and test automation.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
