General Purpose:
Holland & Hart is seeking a Trademark Specialist to support their dynamic, growing Intellectual Property practice. As part of the Trademark Specialist Program, candidates could expect to work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to support the firm’s dynamic and growing Trademark practice. The Trademark Specialist will office in any of our national locations and conduct a variety of legal projects across trademark client teams. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The Trademark Specialist assists with various tasks associated with the prosecution and enforcement of trademarks including:
- Calendaring/docketing and monitoring of statutory and other deadliness related to trademark prosecution and enforcement matters.
- Assist with maintenance of trademark portfolios.
- Assist with monitoring and policing domain names.
- Identify, manage and protect client brands.
- Research availability of new trademarks via internet and database searches and in-person external research.
- Strategic online research of products and companies (e.g., locating specimens of use, investigating potential infringers).
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail in order to draft communications to clients and attorneys around the world.
- Utilize critical thinking and existing evidence to assist in drafting persuasive arguments.
Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):
Qualified candidates will possess strong writing and communication skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to grasp and retain detailed instructions while maintaining attention to detail. Reliability, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision are essential, along with a positive, “can-do” attitude. Applicants with varied work experience backgrounds will be considered.
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Prior legal experience a plus but not required.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to grasp and retain detailed instructions.
- Ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work comfortably with and/or learn a number of different docketing, searching, audit, filing tools and databases.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain productivity and accuracy standards.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible with work assignment.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. CO Salary Range - $24.21-$40.36/hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
