Job Description:

Our company hosts online esports tournaments every Friday night, and we are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a moderator. As a moderator, you will be responsible for answering questions and resolving issues that arise during the tournament, such as claims of cheating and other technical problems. You will work closely with the tournament organizers and other moderators to ensure that the event runs smoothly and stays on track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answering questions and resolving issues in the tournament Discord server.
• Monitoring the chat and ensuring that all participants are following the rules.
• Reviewing and analyzing gameplay footage to detect cheating or other rule violations.
• Making quick and effective decisions to resolve issues and keep the tournament running smoothly.
• Collaborating with other moderators and tournament organizers to ensure the best possible experience for all participants.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of online gaming, especially Call of Duty and MW2.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to review and analyze gameplay footage quickly and accurately.
• The ability to make quick and effective decisions under pressure.
• Availability to work on Friday evenings, starting at least an hour before the tournament begins.
• Experience moderating online communities is a plus.
• Must be able to work in-office (Lehi, UT)

Salary:

The salary for this position is TBD based on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

• Lehi, UT 84043: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
