Job description
Part Time, 20 hours, 3-5 afternoons per week.
Pay Range is between $29.00-$43.50/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
Provides ABA therapeutic services to individuals or groups of individuals which may include treatment planning, clinical case management, individual or group therapy, consultation with parents, peds rehab therapists, schools and other service providers.
Maintains a caseload that is scheduled at no less than a 75% productivity rate. Must adhere to the ethical standards that have been defined by profession.
Adheres to all accreditation requirements and personnel policies. Must strive to promote teamwork inter- and intra-departmentally and work professionally with physicians and individuals in the community.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
M.A. in Child Psychology or related field as required by certification.
Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.)
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Familiarity with autism diagnostic tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observations Scale (ADOS), Vanderbilt and BOSA preferred.Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Demonstrates knowledge of pediatric rehabilitation philosophy and practice. Demonstrates knowledge of conditions requiring rehabilitation services provided within this department. Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, staff, and other professionals and nonprofessionals. Knowledge of principles/practice of clinical child psychology within a pediatric rehabilitation setting and adherence to the American Psychological Association Code of Ethics. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Demonstrates familiarization with the needs of third-party payers. Ability to work effectively under stress. Ability to provide testimony in deposition or in court as needed. Ability to problem solve, use good judgment, and deal with diverse personalities.Experience
Minimum of 1 years post graduate experience in child psychology Experience of at least 2 years in a child psychology position, working as part of a teamWORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Position may require considerable standing, driving, lifting, walking, reaching, bending, sitting and keyboarding. The candidate must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment and computers. Must be physically able to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

- Provides consultation on clients within the Pediatric Rehab department at staffings and on a consultation basis as needed.
- Participates in ongoing group therapy alone or with other team members
- Facilitates parent support groups as needed.
- Demonstrates awareness and knowledge of patient management, including behavior management and safety. Collaborates with staff, families, and outside agencies to develop behavior treatment plans as needed.
- Accurately communicates the patient and family’s emotional, social, and environmental problems to other patient care team members.
- Maintains a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Provides patient treatment and documents patient status and progress in accordance with all departmental and professional guidelines (APA, TJC).
- Evaluates own performance using established criteria and sets goals for improvement.
- Understands and follows paperwork and systems flow within the department, including policies for scheduling and charging patients.
