Summary of Responsibilities
The Therapist is responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical and case management services to clients and their families. This includes the provision of individual, family, group therapies, crisis intervention, assessment, planning, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary teamwork. The Therapist is responsible for formulating and implementing appropriate treatment plans for clients on their assigned caseload and for timely and satisfactory documentation of all treatment efforts.
Job Description
Essential Duties of the Therapist:
- Conduct initial evaluation, assess client’s presenting problems and formulate diagnoses.
- Develop, implement and modify, as necessary, client’s treatment plans.
- Maintain an active caseload providing individual, group and family therapies as needed and within area of expertise and limits of credentials; assure procurement of additional services as needed.
- Participate in continuing education activities, attend meetings and meet regularly with supervisor to exchange pertinent information and receive supervision.
- Maintain client and program records in accordance with Federal and State applicable standards and regulations.
- Maintain a high level of ethical and professional conduct regarding confidentiality.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and completing annual Continuing Education Units that are required by State Statute.
- Supports Transformations mission by completing related results as needed.
- Conducts client sessions for other absent or vacationing therapists.
- Participates in a minimum of one “Family Weekend” per year.
- Understand and follow all policies and procedures set forth by the Clinical Director, Executive VP(s), and CEO.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety rules, guidelines & procedures.
Necessary Abilities:
- Understands the principles of psychiatric and addictions treatment
- Ability to prioritize workload and work independently, and must be thorough and communicate effectively
- Computer knowledge and use of computer systems a must
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and clients
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws
- Is knowledgeable of Clients Rights and treats all clients with dignity and respect in a consistent caring manner; adheres to federal confidentiality standards (HIPAA)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree required
- Two years of equivalent work experience preferred
- Current or pending licensure or certification as required by the state where services are provided.
- All employees may be required to work before, during and/or immediately after a natural or man-made disaster
