Eyas Landing is seeking a fulltime Therapy Assistant Department Lead to support and supervisor our team of Therapeutic Assistants.
The Therapeutic Assistant position involves assisting in a small class of 10-12 children, providing 1:1 and 1:4 support to our students, activity preparation and clean up, assisting at the front desk as needed, room cleaning and collaborating with our therapeutic team of specialists.
Experience working with young children with autism, sensory processing disorders and other developmental delays is highly preferred. The ideal candidate is one who is passionate about working with young children and driven to develop professionally.

Job Summary
Supervises Therapeutic Assistants ensures that the TA team is run smoothly, efficiently and able to provide proper support to the therapy team.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct first onsite interviews for Therapeutic Assistant applicants.
- Schedule second onsite therapy session observation and interview with Merlin Lead or Director of Special Education for Therapeutic Assistant applicants.
- Review orientation procedures and maintain Therapeutic Assistant orientation materials.
- Conduct orientation meetings with Therapeutic Assistants (once a week for two months, invite supervisor as needed).
- Participate in weekly meetings with therapists, Therapeutic Assistants, Senior Therapeutic Assistant, and Merlin/Eyas Landing clinical leadership team as needed.
- Create and manage Therapeutic Assistant daily schedules/hours.
- Coordinate coverage when Therapeutic Assistants absent.
- Conduct annual performance reviews with TA Manager for Therapeutic Assistants and Senior Therapeutic Assistants.
- Provide Therapeutic Assistant coverage and additional support to Eyas Landing staff and clients as needed.
- Manage staff schedules/hours and assist with coverage (Therapeutic Assistants, Senior Therapeutic Assistants, Interns).
- Collaborate with administration and therapists to delegate tasks to ensure preparation of therapy setting.
- Assign, oversee, and ensure completion of Senior Therapeutic Assistant projects.
- Maintain therapy room preparation protocols, task lists, and equipment.
- Assign, oversee, and ensure completion of Therapeutic Assistant daily tasks related to therapy preparation.
- Assist in set up of new materials & equipment; maintain inventory for art supplies and office supplies.
- Report building, room, and equipment maintenance issues to appropriate party.
- Be on call for day-to-day support.
- Possible travel to client home sessions as needed.
- Participate in all required company orientation, professional development days and ongoing trainings as required.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings, department meetings and as needed team meetings.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong experience working with children and/or clients with special needs
- Actively contributes ideas and dialog to department or all staff meetings
- Actively seeks out leadership and mentorship opportunities
- Follows company policies and procedures
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus
