The Test Proctor administers standardized testing for students Pre-K to 12th grade in reading, math, writing, college prep and study skills. These tests are completed upon initial enrollment to Sylvan and subsequent progress checks throughout the student's academic program.

The Test Proctor responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Welcoming the student to the testing area
• Ensuring that the testing area is clean, well-lit and comfortable
• Tracking students in Sylvan programs to ensure that their progress checks are done at proper and timely intervals
• Following the required test delivery accurately and completely in order to protect the validity of the standardized test
• Follows testing protocol as trained in the proprietary Sylvan training course
• Communicates with directors regarding each student testing experience
• Prepares student files, including testing documents, and other documents and forms needed by directors during conferences with student's parents/guardians
• Uses center operating software to schedule students and keep track of progress
• Assists directors in other administrative tasks related to customer service and daily operations

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Minimum of Associate's degree or currently studying in college or university
• Ability to work with students of all ages
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of an education team
• Ability to communicate effectively, using good grammar
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Keyboarding
• Ability to work some Monday - Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings
