Title: Weapons Test Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support preparation and conduct Test and Evaluation Program for entire Weapons Portfolio. Includes conduct of Test Readiness Reviews and creation of test procedures and reports.
- Live fire range equipment preparation and staging including required test equipment, chambering rounds, and verifying weapon and range safety.
- Maintenance, Repair, Inspection of small arm weapons including .50 caliber BMG and 20mm assemblies.
- Test problem resolution
Secondary Accountabilities:
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a technical related field preferred, or military experience (4 years or more) at E-7 or higher will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of weapon systems and subsystems in at least one of the following areas: small arms preparation, operation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair.
- Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge
- Ability to work independently
- ATF License holder
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with US Navy or US Marine Corps combat systems or platforms
- Experience operating, maintaining, testing, or analyzing weapons systems or complex mechanical or software systems especially those mentioned above
- Systems Engineering experience with US Navy or US Marine Corps weapons systems
- Experience supporting, or knowledge of, Engineering analyses related to fielding UUVs, ROVs
- Experience supporting, or knowledge of, Rapid TEMPALT processes, including with submarines
- Experience preparing technical reports
- Certified Qualified Handgun Instructor (QHIC)
Physical Requirements
- Lifting (up to 20 lbs.): up to 25% of time
- Walking: up to 25% of time
- Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping: up to 10% of time
- Sitting: up to 75% of time
- Travel: up to 10% of time
AAC works on a 9/80 compressed work schedule whereby employees work 80 hours in 2 weeks with every other Friday off.
