Position: Temporary Retail Associate

Location: Moody Gardens Parking Lot, 1 Hope Blvd. Galveston, TX 77554

Pay: $22.00/HR - Check Mailed by: April 15th, 2023

• Wed, March 29th: 9:00AM-5:00PM (STORE SETUP)
• Thu, March 30th: 9:00AM-5:00PM (STORE SETUP)
• Fri, March 31st: 9:00AM-5:00PM (STORE OPEN)
• Sat, April 1st: 12:00PM-7:00PM (STORE OPEN)
• Sun, April 2nd: 9:00AM-7:00PM (RACE DAY/TEARDOWN)

OVERVIEW:

We are back in Galveston for 70.3 Texas. This is a great opportunity for friends or family to get involved with the race and its athletes. This position is for the official IRONMAN Store merchandise location assisting customers, athletes, family, and fans in a fast-paced event retail environment.

POSITION:

We are looking to hire 10-15 individuals with retail experience that are outgoing, friendly, and hard working with the ability to take direction from management.

DUTIES:

• Assisting Merchandise Event Manager and Operations in the execution of store setup and breakdown
• Stocking the sales floor and general store maintenance
• Greeting customers and assisting them with their various needs and questions
• Maintaining visual presentation of the store by sizing, folding and completing other tasks
• Assisting customers in fitting rooms
• Processing monetary transactions at the cash register

QUALIFICATIONS: Retail experience preferred.

• Upon hire all staff must complete the required onboarding tax paperwork prior to work shifts and provide proof of identification.
• Individuals must be of legal working age.
• This is an active working environment. Employees will be expected to bend and reach, lift heavy boxes, and withstand being on their feet all day.
• Appropriate breaks and lunches will be given depending upon the length of the shift.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
