Rockingham County Finance Office has a need for two (2) Temporary Emergency Rental Assistance Case Technicians.

SCOPE OF POSITION: Provides direct client services and performs various administrative tasks for Rockingham County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (RC ERAP).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Reviews tenant and landlord applications for emergency rental assistance to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Facilitates tenant and landlord completion of applications for emergency rental assistance, including coordination of data gathering.
• Maintains and updates tenant rental assistance cases in the County’s Unqork system.
• Works with landlords, utility vendors and internet providers to resolve any outstanding issues with tenant assistance requests.
• Confirms with Southern New Hampshire Services (SNHS) any State of New Hampshire emergency rental assistance previously provided to applicants to the RC ERAP.
• Returns tenant applicant phone calls and emails in a timely fashion.
• Updates the Senior Director of Finance with regards to application complexities, major trends, and Unqork system issues.
• Performs outreach duties as needed, whether by email, phone or in the field.
• Maintains professional boundaries with tenant and landlord applicants, and maintains strict confidentiality of applicants and staff.
• Presents a professional and positive image as a representative of the RC ERAP.
• Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have the ability to work with assistance applicants and coworkers in a professional, confidential and respectful manner.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, math, data entry and inquiry skills.
• Proficiency with computers and basic programs required.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Possess the ability to work efficiently and rapidly under heavy pressure.
• Ability to sit at a computer for the extent of the workday.

STATUS/SHIFT: Temporary / Non-Exempt / Non-Benefits Eligible / 24-30 Hours Weekly
ASSIGNMENT END DATE: Early September 2025, or when the U.S. Treasury expends the funds.
