Job description
The Teller position is responsible for providing superior customer service while performing routine and intermediate teller and customer service duties. This includes, but is not limited to, accepting retail and commercial checking and savings deposits, processing loan payments, cashing checks and savings withdrawals, assisting with night depository and vault duties, answering phones, assisting customers with safety deposit boxes, promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. The Teller position actively supports the retail department. Ability to occasionally work at two branch offices (Lake City and Red Wing) is required.

PERFORMANCE DIMENSIONS & PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)
Specific KPI’s Critical to the success of the position:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, vendors and personnel to gain and retain quality relationships.
- Quality: Ability to accurately process Bank transactions and maintain a balanced drawer in accordance with Alliance Bank’s Teller manual.
- Policy Compliance: Adherence to all Bank and Department policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those regarding attendance, dress code, and those outlined in the Code of Conduct.
- Accurately process retail and commercial checking and savings deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, bonds, cash advances and other products and services while adhering to all Bank and Department policies and procedures.
- Assist with night depository duties including, but not limited to, logging bags, processing deposits, and issuing receipts.
- Refer customers to appropriate staff to assist with additional bank products.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer in accordance with the bank’s teller manual.
- Effectively and efficiently process batch transactions thru Branch Capture System.
- Establish and maintain high quality customer relations.
- Open, sort and deliver incoming mail by department.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Cash handling and/or customer service experience .
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct industry experience.

- The environment for this position is an open office that is mostly clean and comfortable. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc. The individual is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will.
