Ashfield Engage has a long-standing partnership with leading a Biotechnology company, across Commercial, Patient Solutions and Medical Affairs businesses.
Analyze solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance. Represent the full-breadth of IT capabilities and coordinates and participates in solution design and development, computer telephony integration, application configuration and support, and custom reporting for internal and external customers. Partner with other internal teams to provide strategic thinking and liaise between internal/external customers and the appropriate IT teams to fulfil needs from infrastructure requirements to custom program development. Seeks out opportunities to leverage existing solutions for Ashfield Healthcare and its other North American affiliates.

What will you be doing?
  • Responsible for strategic planning and solution design and delivery:
  • To work in collaboration with colleagues within the organization to identify best solutions/approaches through understanding of business challenges and opportunities
  • Assist with Technical Estimates internally for solutions development and support, including timing, resources, estimated external costs
  • Responsible for solution analysis, development, and user experience:
  • Perform: analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation
  • Required to Interface with internal/external customers to gather requirements
  • Create test plans, perform unit level testing, and in conjunction with others perform user acceptance testing (UAT) on solutions
  • Act as IT project manager for certain initiatives
  • Initiates and participates in Computer System Validation Initiatives
  • Act as mentor and/or technical resource to other team members – remove for job ad
  • Continuously evaluate and discover new technology solutions, including software and hardware to be able to provide thought leadership (and an innovative point-of-view) around new emerging technologies and market trends
  • Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Provide on-call and after-hours coverage, as necessary.
What do you need for this position?
  • Bachelor’s degree computer programming or business
  • Required to have at least 2-3 years working knowledge of:
  • MicroSoft Suite of programs (Excel, Word etc)
  • Understanding of the AGILE project management methodology
  • Project Management software (such as SmartSheets, Monday or equivalent
  • Ability to support projects from conception to completion
  • A good understanding of relational database design
  • Excellent communications skills
  • SalesForce CRM, HealthCloud is required
  • Experience with any the following technologies is a plus:
  • C#.Net & ASP.Net
  • FoxPro
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 to present version
  • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSQLRS)
  • Any of the following is a plus:
  • Knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, JQTouch, JQuery
  • Knowledge of reporting systems and analytics tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Call Center & CSO operational experience
  • Competency in architecting client-side apps and web applications
  • Professional certifications
  • Autonomous
  • Strong EI and Business acumen
  • Professional and Diplomatic
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Collaborate with clients
  • Understand the BA/developer language
  • Tech savvy and computer system proficiencies
  • Excellent Time-management skills
  • Quick on feet
  • Must have stable, reliable, high speed home internet.
  • Must have a designated separate home office space that is quiet and away from distractions
