Principal Responsibilities:

The JCC Abrams Camp is currently seeking a Teen Travel Unit Director who will oversee the travel program for 7th-9th graders.

Minimum Qualifications:

Responsibilities of this position include but not limited to the following:

• Be familiar with and implement camp policies and procedures.
• Know, enforce and follow all safety guidelines associated with the JCC Abrams Camp. This includes being responsible for campers' safety and well-being of every person involved in the Teen Travel program.
• Provide direct supervision to Teen Travel staff.
• Meet routinely with staff to inform them of important camp updates, provide mid-season and end of summer evaluations for staff.
• Maintain positive relationships with campers and staff.
• Encourage physical, emotional, and positive character development in all campers.
• Ensure attendance for both campers and staff is submitted daily and on time.
• When necessary, utilize support from the Camp Director & Camper Care Team to help in managing camper behaviors and situations.
• In partnership with the Health Center, manage camper medications and basic first aid when necessary.
• Serve as a member of JCC Abrams Camps staff team.

This position requires an 8-week commitment, Monday, June 26 - Friday, August 18. The Teen Travel Director will accompany campers on daily trips and two overnight extended trips Monday-Friday.
