- The SPD Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, and preparing the surgical instruments/equipment for sterilization.
- The SPD Technician maintains consistency and continuous workflow between the OR, Central Processing and the facility as a whole while practicing above average customer service.
- The SPD technician can perform duties independently, work proficiently without supervision, and is qualified to train new employees.
- We work in conjunction with the Pharmacy to re-supply crash carts with IV fluids and medications.
- Serves as a resource to all CS/SPD customers.
- Also responsible for cleaning, issuing patient care equipment and supplies.
- High school education or the equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- One year healthcare experience preferred, can be waived at manager's discretion.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
COMPENSATION / BENEFITS
- $11.75-19.18/hr depending on previous work experience.
- Shift and weekend differentials.
